Preserving old knowledge: A win-win situation for humans and animals

This is an important message, especially for the next generation of livestock farmers. Digital and electronic aids such as calving detectors, oestrus detection or health monitoring systems are currently coming onto the market almost weekly. But the example of blowing up femal livestock shows how important it is to preserve the old knowledge of experienced animal owners in order to be able to deal with current problems in animal husbandry.
