In an article published in 2004 by the farmer magazine top agrar (“Milk blockage in heifers: What can you do?”) the authors estimate that in Germany, economic losses of more than 100 million Euros / year are caused by milk ejection problems in dairy cows! The use of the BlowFixx can help to counteract the problems described in the article and reduce the amount of economic damage mentioned. In the scientific paper “Aetiology of disturbed milk ejection in parturient primiparous cows” (Journal of Dairy Research, 1992), Prof. Dr. Rupert Bruckmaier from the Vetsuisse Faculty of the University of Bern investigated the question of why an ejection of milk can be observed after the blowing up of cows. He found out that during vaginal stimulation via the blowing up of cows, 7 – 10 times more oxytocin is released than with pure hand stimulation of the udder. It can therefore be assumed that there will be significant savings in the use of artificial hormones in animal husbandry if every farmer uses the BlowFixx in problem cows in future. In addition, when the animals are blown up, their bodies’ own natural oxytocin is released. This does not lead to the dependencies that arise when using synthetically produced oxytocin! Bruckmaier also deals with the subject in the book “Kurzes Lehrbuch Milchkunde und Milchhygiene” (by Prof. Dr. Volker Krömker) which can be translated as “Short book on dairy science and dairy hygiene”.

Quote: “Since this stimulus is significantly stronger than stimulation of the udder even under normal conditions, blowing air into the vagina can often release sufficient oxytocin even in animals with significant ejection disorders. If practicable under the milking conditions indicated, this method is recommended, since the chronic use of oxytocin injection causes a decreasing sensitivity of the myoepithelial cells of the udder, which means that it is often no longer possible to stop the injections forever.”
